The first pilot project of Kushudebu Public Health Mission Nepal (KPHMN) was the Junbesi Health Center, a free medical center for villagers in the Junbesi Valley, established in 2005.

Over the years, KPHMN has ventured into other forays, including education, various trainings, environment, public awareness, tourism and medical centers in different regions of Nepal.

Health & Medical Sector

KPHMN strives to improve the health services and promote a better understanding & acceptance of good health practices in the marginalized communities of rural Nepal.

The following objectives outline our aim in improving the health sector in Nepal.

  • Identify health and hygiene issues in needy communities;
  • Facilitate medical infrastructure development;
  • Distribute medicine & equip new and/or existing health centers;
  • Recruit, mobilize and manage health professionals and auxiliary staff;
  • Organize medical camps & door-to-door awareness programs;
  • Organize seminars, workshops, and trainings on maternal health enabling reduction in premature and preventable mortality;
  • Organize trainings on reusable sanitary pad sewing and public awareness campaign on women’s health;
  • Coordinate with local and national level government in the development of health services;
  • Initiate development and/or reform of scientific health courses;
  • Arrange for health practitioners to take part in proficiency trainings;
  • Provide acute/emergency services during natural disasters and epidemics.

Educational, Environmental, Social & Tourism Sector

  • Distribute scholarships, supplies, and other materials to marginalized students;
  • Facilitate infrastructure development of schools, hostels, libraries, etc. in rural and remote areas; 
  • Distribute educational and recreational supplies to new/existing educational institutions;
  • Recruit, mobilize and manage educational professionals and auxiliary staff for educational institutions;
  • Conduct public awareness program on environment pollution, degradation, health, management and protection;
  • Build infrastructure for environmental protection and management like incinerator, toilet, waste-pit, etc. ;
  • Distribute food, clothing, and relief materials to needy communities;
  • Facilitate infrastructure development of social institutions like monasteries, public restrooms, etc. ;
  • Assist in the promotion of tourism via trainings, IEC materials, and infrastructure development;
